On the corner of the Schagensteeg and the small square of the Zuid Rundersteeg you will find this charming and particularly bright double upper-floor apartment. It offers wonderfully quiet living with hardly any traffic and a sheltered setting, yet within one minute you are on the lively Haarlemmerstraat. The living area measures 94 m², divided over two floors. In addition to a spacious living room and two bedrooms, the property also features a sheltered roof terrace.
Around the corner you will find a wide variety of shops, cosy cafés, restaurants and cultural hotspots such as museums and theatres. The canals, courtyards and historic streets of the city centre of Leiden are literally just around the corner and make every walk through the neighbourhood special.
The location is also very practical. Leiden Centraal Station can be reached within a few minutes by bicycle, and the nearby A4 motorway Netherlands and A44 motorway Netherlands provide fast connections to cities such as The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Sellers’ story
“In this home we have experienced many wonderful moments. Evenings where we cooked elaborate meals, enjoyed drinks with friends and then spontaneously walked into the city afterwards. On sunny days we enjoyed the warmth and light on the balcony. It truly became a place where we felt at home.
What continued to surprise us is how spacious and complete the home feels. It is a comfortable, move-in-ready house with plenty of natural daylight. When we moved in, we made several improvements such as installing double glazing, adding air conditioning in the main bedroom and refreshing the bathroom. These upgrades have made the home feel even more comfortable and modern.
Although we have lived here with great pleasure, we are looking forward to a new chapter in Gelderland, where we will live closer to nature and be able to keep our horse at home. Still, we leave this place with a little bit of nostalgia.
We hope the next residents will experience as many beautiful moments here as we have.”
